Full Details of TV Coverage of Australian Sprintcar Championship
The Sprintcar Control Council of Australia Inc (SCCA) has finalised the TV coverage of the Australian Sprintcar Championship.
The coverage starts on Sunday 08 February 2015 with a replay of night 2 of the 2014 Australian Sprintcar Championship run at Bendigo Bank Arena, Latrobe, Tasmania. The one hour highlights show will be aired on SBS Speedweek at 2:00pm (check your local guide). This will whet the appetite for sprintcar, speedway and motorsport fans in general for the actual running of the 2015 Australian Sprintcar Championship at Quit Bunbury Speedway, Western Australia on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February 2015.
Both nights of the Championship (Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February 2015) will be live video streamed through the SCCA website www.scca.com.au with a ‘Watch Live – Click Here’ icon that will redirect to www.motorsportstv.com.au The presentation will combine the venue commentators calling the action of the racing and Bennie Bishop hosting exclusive interviews and updates. This will be the second coverage of its type that the SCCA has undertaken and the product will be provided free of charge. Coverage is scheduled to start at 6:00pm AWST. Areas of WA will be geo-blocked. Times will be subject to change depending on circumstances.
AVE Pty Ltd will produce two x 1 hour highlight shows of the 2015 Australian Sprintcar Championship in Bunbury. These shows have already been scheduled and will be replayed on SBS Speedweek with night one of the title on Sunday 01 March 2015 and night 2 on Sunday 08 March 2015.
These highlight shows will then be podcast on motorsportstv.com.au and available for viewing at any time in the ‘CatchUp TV’ – ‘Speedway’ section.
Negotiations are continuing for the two x 1 hour 2015 Australian Sprintcar Championship shows to be aired on subscription TV Fox Sports Channel 505. Details will be announced when the negotiations have been finalised.
