GENERAL
WAWS CODE OF CONDUCT 2015/16
Wingless Sprints WA encourages good sportsmanship and expects all competitors, officials and associates to abide by the WSWA Code of Conduct outlined below.
If you have any questions about the Wingless Sprints WA Code of Conduct, please contact the Club President.
1. Treat ALL fellow participants as you would like to be treated yourself.
2. Controlyourtemper.Verbalabuse,threatsandphysicalviolencearenot
acceptable behaviours.
3. Respect the rights, dignity and worth of ALL participants, regardless of their
ability, gender or cultural background.
4. Beagoodrolemodel.Besafe,responsibleandsetagoodexampleoutsideof
organised racing events, especially when on the road.
5. Where an event or competition necessitates accommodation away from normal
residence, including but not restricted to motels, hotels, caravan parks or any
public area, before and after racing hours this code of conduct applies.
6. ActwiththerulesofthesportatALLtimes.
7. Respect the decisions of officials at ALL times.
8. Remember to treat with respect and thank fans, fellow competitors, volunteers,
team members and officials. Without these people, the sport could not exist.
9. Adhere to Speedway Australia Pit Rules and Regulations and Speedway
Australia Drug & Alcohol Policy.
10.Respect track operators by adhering to the rules and guidelines of each track. 11. The consumption of alcohol during an event is prohibited.
12.Should you have any complaints on racing or non-racing issues, please follow
the racing protocol guidelines issued by Wingless Sprints WA
SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS
Using the internet and electronic communication is essential for communicating with members. We are committed to communication being appropriate and related to relevant business.
Wingless Sprints WA also encourages participation in online social media in a positive manner.
The accessible nature of the internet however, can lead itself to the posting of threatening and derogatory material in the heat of the moment.
THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ARE TO ENSURE CLEAR BOUNDARIES ARE MAINTAINED CONCERNING THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY.
WEBSITE
1. Informationoncompetitions,socialevents,committees,policies,constitution, rule and by laws will be placed on our website.
2. No offensive content or photos will be uploaded to our website, especially about social activities and events.
3. Awebmasterwillbeappointedtoprovideaccountabilityandcontroloverwhat goes onto our website and Facebook page.
4. Whilst drivers participation on the Wingless Sprints WA website in order to promote the class is encouraged, all drivers’ level of participation is individually respected and privacy maintained where requested.
FACEBOOK PAGE/TWITTER
1. Willbeusedtoprovideinformation.Whilstmembersandcommentswillbe allowed, and Administrator/s will remove comments where necessary.
2. Posting and uploading of videos will feature positive club news and events.
3. Personal information about club members will not be disclosed.

4. Nostatementwillbemadethataremisleading,falseorlikelytoinjurethe reputation of another person.
5. Nostatementwillbemadethatmightbringourclubintodisrepute.
6. Members will not engage in negative or destructive discussions or postings.
7. Abusive,harassing,discriminatoryoroffensivestatementsarenottobeposted
by members and will be removed by the Administrator/s if they are.
8. Destructive or negative users will be deleted and blocked for engaging within the
site.
Once your thoughts and comments are published to the internet they are visible to the world and they are permanent.
Wingless Sprints WA takes all cases of cyber bullying seriously and will treat online matters as it would “real world” bullying.
Breaching the Code of Conduct or bringing the sport into disrepute online can lead to serious consequences, including tribunals, suspensions and the termination of the offender’s Wingless Sprints WA membership.
